Alydaar Software Corp. has finally caught the attention of a stock analyst -- something the computer services firm has sought for months. Sean Kelly of Europe's Banque Rothschild recently offered the first independent estimate of the computer services firm's earnings, predicting it will earn $1.47 a share this year and a whopping $4.72 a share in 1999. Alydaar lost $7.8 million, or 51 cents a share, last year.
On a lighter note: An Alydaar shareholder from Connecticut, in town for the company's recent annual meeting, was invited to lunch by a fellow investor. His companion took him to a local strip bar. In a posting later on a technology stock chat site, he wrote, ''It was only when I arrived at the Diamond Club that I realized it wasn't your average eatery. Well, maybe it is, based on the number of similar places in Charlotte.''
I can just imagine all the, umm... ladies, at the Diamond Club wondering which guy I was and whether or not they, umm... danced for me. I must say, though, I was quite impressed with this one woman who was able to... well, you know... while she was dangling upside down on that long steel pole thingie (I'm sure there's a name for it; if CharlieBoy were awake I'm sure he'd know). Now if we can just get the stock price up. ;^)
