Shows you how ignorant Santiago is. I sat near Hal Lindsey once in a restaurant in Palos Verdes Estates in the South Bay area of Greater Los Angeles. He was with a companion and they both were discussing some new books he was planning to write (back in 1983-1984). At one point his friend mentioned "The Late, Great Planet Earth" which had been a bestseller, and they both laughed uproariously. Then Hal, wiping away tears said, "I don't think I could get away with writing that now -- but you never know -- there's a great deal of stupidity out there!" Whereupon they both laughed again.

I do not know exactly what they were laughing at because I did not find their inside joke amusing.
