Ron, I gave up mine the night the gear wouldn't come down on the Aero Commander with my wife beside me and my two young sons in the cabin. In Viet Nam mechanical failures were expected and I jumped from burning planes twice, emergency landing were routine. Hold off on the "V" until you are comfortable with it.
