Mark, I agree that Sybase is nothing compared to Oracle, My point was that Oracle V6 at the time did not provide the same capability that Sybase did, and Sybase was marketing it..... Larry wanted in on the action, so out came Oracle7 with better client/server capabilities than Sybase had..... Get my point??? If not, to be clearer, Oracle will do whatever it takes to keep a leg up on the competiton..... Whatever Informix has now, be sure that Oracle will soon provide, and probably better than what Informix has how!!!! Ernie
