[Response to Sandbag RE: CDIC] Sandbag, sorry, to do a viable business case analysis takes time, and right now I'm preping for two interviews. The FA picture is not pretty.
But I looked at a couple releases, and here's so questions I'd ask as a potential investor, or items I'd look at if I were considering a purchase. Is it approved for medicare reimbursement? and/or would an insurance co. consider it "experimental", and thus deny coverage?
There is no mention of price. Our capital budget takes into consideration initial purchase, training & installation, annual operating expense, cost savings (in this case procedures avoided, likely reduction in length of stay (real important under DRG based reimbursement), outcomes improvement, staff time.
Put yourself in the shoes of a hospital operations board - would the devices have a positive 5 year payback?
Also, revenues are decreasing. What is geing done to address this. What is the talent/experience of the senior staff esp marketing.
That's the stuff I'd look at.
Right now, I'm about to do a busines case on TTNP and NZYM, and honestly can't take on more. Hope this helps, Scott
