Dog, We will find out soon who is correct. I do not currently have any money on this horse. But it might be good for a short term play. There have been plenty of posts on this thread as well as others in the past that point out less than adequate CPQ inventory in the retail channels. My guess is there could as much as a 3 week hole in the sales numbers based on the information put out so far. My early guess was that CPQ would probably stuff the channel this quarter to avoid a shortfall in revenues. However, the alternative to that tactic is to take the shortfall and try to get Q3 and Q4 on track. There is evidence that they did this instead. Hence, the earnings/revenue shortfall. The channel stuffing was severe and the penalty is going to be spread out over more than two quarters IMO. Tomorrow should be very interesting!
