Norm- 8/2 seconds on a Abit PS6 Pentium Pro 200MHz running at 233MHz. On a DFI G586VPM Dual Pentium 166MHz it's about 20/2. Don't know if the difference is caused by different chipset: PPro uses 440FX which is on the Be compatible list while DFI board uses
VSLI chipset which no one's heard of.

I like the the Dual Pentium 166MHz. Board cost $100 with 16mb FPM. CPU's cost $70. each new. Running BeOS with it makes it feel like
I think a PII 400 must feel. Also getting used to Be multiple
processors. That CPU monitor GIF on my profile you click on the 1
or 2 box and it shuts the processor off click again and it's on.

The screen I'm using is a 3 year old 15" running at 60Hz. I've
never seen it so sharp. Makes me wonder what a 17" 75Hz screen
would look like.

P.S. I've had that "where did everything go feeling". Reg
say's don't develop on Win95. I'd rather do nothing at all
on Win but right now BeOS is supplemental. I can surf and do
E-Mail on it. Also the Poor Man Web server feeds web pages
to a couple on Win95 PC's connected on a TCP/IP local network.
That's a lot. Next is a compiler. I'm waiting for Java to be
added to CodeWarrior for BeOS so I don't get hit for an upgrade
charge but Be says C++ is the native language of BeOS so I'll
try the Codewarrior Lite that comes with the system test
the file system. I hear it's lightniing fast.
