MM's can ignore anything except a market order. In this case you may have been better off placing a market order, if the ask is at 0.09 and the size is 5,000 shares, there is not much chance that you will not get filled as advertised. This of coarse is only true if the stock is not on fire, then all bets are off. Once I had a sell order on a stock at 0.28, the stock ran to 0.30 and back down to 0.26 and they never filled my order. So I cancelled it and thank you Mr MM for saving me from myself cause I sold it 2 days later for 0.60.
