walter, why does buying txn's dram business signal a turnaround for mu? fundamentally nothing has changed in supply demand equation. prices still falling. asia situation will get worse. when that happens mu will be shipping a dollar bill with every chip. the death spiral as you put it is not over. just another bounce before the next trounce. if mu can somehow buy txn's biz, it just means more debt to service an could spell the end of what would be the last u.s. dram mfg in probably less than two years. im not sure how much cash they have now. js
