Araldica Announces Increased Sales of its Super City Gourmet Subsidiary
June 9, 1998...ARALDICA WINERIES, LTD. (OTC:BB - AWLT) announced today that it's wholly-owned subsidiary, Super City Gourmet, Inc. of Deer Park, New York, reported that it has more than doubled its sales (from just under $500,000 a year, to just under $1,000,000 a year) in the first six months after its acquisition by Araldica in the Fall of 1997.
Super City is now introducing Araldica's proprietary line of Italian speciality foods ("The Mediterranean Diet Club") to New York area stores, and is reporting substantial orders from and interest by chain stores and independent food stores alike, which Super City anticipates will open up these major new customers to the entire line to its [500+] gourmet and specialty food products.
The Mediterranean Diet Club product introduction is is to be supported, commencing in early Summer, by a national television campaign targeting consumers, which will refer them to the local chains and independents that carry these premium Italian products.
Araldica is now projecting that Super City's sales will double again (to $2,000,000 annually) by the end of 1998, at a minimum.
