Hi Gaffa...

I have not yet been able to speak to Simula about developments, but what the press release means is that the company now has:

1) BMW via Autoliv

2) A second car manufacturer that will be including ITS in its product by the latter part of 1998.

3) A third contract for one of the ITS family of products during 1999.

4) Two platforms with TRW that will deliver at some time in the future. (The timing of the announcement suggests that it is possible that these will begin to generate revenue for the 2000 model year, or the latter part of 1999. The timing is not yet certain, however.)

5) Two additional platforms that are "under study" with TRW, and which may lead to shipments at some time in the future.

It is the breakthrough news that Simula needed to gain credibility, and the company should now be viewed as the leader in side-impact, head protection devices.

Actually, I am amazed at the amount of selling on this news. Now that it is *certain* that the company will expand the ITS family beyond BMW, shareholders that have lived through the time of maximum uncertainty want to sell here? Good grief. To me it appears absolutely moronic.

Anyway, I will attempt to contact Simula today to learn what can be told about this agreement and its ramifications. I will post more when I know more.

Have a good day.
