I am surprised. Your usual investigative bent...is tumescent. Look to the URL, and turn the pages slowly. There is no "label". It is not about a sticker/label. Someone who has certification has a file cabinet of full of the steps and anoyances needed to get this "blessing". SOE hasn't even hit the confessional yet, let alone the Holy water. This is not an Underwriter's Lab like undertaking. This is not the elipse marked "passed". These guys play hardball. I like to equate them to OSHA Compliance officers with brains. Part of the certification process is on-site inspection. There is not mail in catalog to Pacific Western for a ring to pick your nose with. Read sir, and be thankful your kayak is low on gas, or you might be tempted to paddle toward Mc Lean, all mean and Lean. CK
