Personally I think Glenn made a lot of marketing mistakes, because he tried to translate his other marketing experience to a financial company with which he had little experience. Especially regarding Stock Genie, I believe he was very naive. To believe that others wouldn't read into using this MARKETING service as some sort of false (i.e. bogus) advocate, in the context of games played with mm's and others, was particularly ingenuine since to do so is completely different from other "quid pro quo" experiences Zagoren may have had with marketing other products and personalities.
I also believe Glenn learned from his experiences. Unfortunately, in the short run, I feel Glenn's mistakes adversely effected the valuation of the company. However, in a longer time frame, I still feel that the company is sound and a lot of the "hype" will be transformed into business. Like I've always said this isn't the lottery, there won't be many over night winners.
I am also glad that the focus is now on what it always should have been and that is improving the service to attract and retain users, because users equal earnings, and earnings drive stock values. The product is improving. THe product provides a service users need. The product provides unique and comprehensive services. The website is being work on by one of the top web design companies: PROXICOM. I feel what we're looking at is more an issue of timing rather than valuation. All the attention was received before it was wanted. Now with lessons learned, PNL will be marketed more effectively as the product and service is ready, which will be in the not to distant future.
Like others I wish I sold at 8, and bought back in lower. With me, I know though that if I had sold at those levels the stock would have went up further. I also know now that if I sell at these levels the stock will also go up. So I can't win by not taking a long term view, and since PNL and Zagoren are now doing what they should have always done and as mentioned above, I still believe my investment is worthwhile.
I am also going to post this message on the thread since I haven't posted for a while.
