Dog, What were the notebook ranking before this CPQ report? The growth rate is impressive but does this represent sales through or into the channel. The report is vague. I will be more impressed if these are sales through the channel rather than into the channel. They could be drying out the channel in the desktop arena and stuffing it in the laptop arena. This would be a tactic between the extremes of taking a big hit and stuffing the channel indiscriminately. Sorry, but after CPQ lied in Q4 about stuffing the channel, it going to take quite a while for me to be less suspicious about their claims of victory in the marketplace. After all the company is still being run by the executives that gave us Q4 and Q1.
