Lee and Dog: Call me sceptical, but wasn't the post by Rudedog a press release from Compaq basically rehasing information that has been out there for a little while already (1st quarter results)...I have also noticed that Dell (and all companies) float these "new items" (rehashed old news) during slow period to support (?) the stock....I don't know why companies do it, actually....I am assuming (especially in uncertain tech times) it is a steadying influence on the stock..part of the Wall Street game. The fact that CPQ made such gains, and still got clobbered in the quarter would make me look at this announcement as a nuetral, or bad sign....After all, they took share, but couldn't make money....This is not an indication that they can take share AND make money....and especially not an indication that they can (take share AND make money) in Q2... Am I wrong here? Am open to contrasting views......
