Maurice - With a temper like that, it's a good thing y'all don't like nukes. As for IPR, it is a truism that people who don't personally have property (or aren't likely to ever be able own any in the future) are the most likely to approve of communism. Although that was said tongue-in-cheek, there is a lot of truth to it. The sad thing is that this is true even among people who should know better - lawyers and corporate exec's. I actually know an IPR lawyer who doesn't believe in Intellectual Property. And this problem is exacerbated by the fact that most good ideas are obvious in hindsight. 'How can you own something so obvious?!'

The point here is that there is no point in getting upset, since it is probably true of most exec's unless they were engineers or scientists earlier in their career. Let's just hope that the judges we get, if it goes that far, aren't of that persuasion.
