Darren,
Nice post! I especially like the personal attacks. Are you one of those guys who simply yells at a discussion table? or wouldnt you rather come with something more tangible? Why don't you simply argue the points? Anything else simply minimizes any value your posts contain.
Do you truly feel that 1 in 3 daytraders are successful? What experiences are you basing your decisions on? How long have you been trading? How successful haveyou been at it? Did you factor in that perhaps you are the 1 of the 1 in 30 and perhaps you associate with those who are similarly situated and therefore arent exposed to the 29 in 30? Don't you think that the 29 in 30 or even the 2 of 3 should hear concerns about it? Don'tyou think that the strategy should be scrutinized up and back and if it passes, then its worth pursuing?
Darren, lets not confuse the issue. I consider myself and excellent trader, both in trading stocks for myself and well as executing client orders, but I have no interest whatsoever in making a living daytrading my own account...key word: daytrading.
I work in the work, trade various stocks on various exchanges all day, deal with heady individuals, clients, instiutions, all day every day and get paid great money for it. Don't feel sorry for me.
Perhaps we should steer away from discussing the evils of daytrading. To be honest, there is no fun in it. Individualsup here are too emotional about being told that something they are doing might not be successful.
Lets drop this line of discussion as I dont think anyone is now getting anything from it...
