only a few questions, and I didn't stick around to buttonhole anyone afterwards. Kumar showed a few slides about the science and the potential for a genetic testing kit for glaucoma, as well as the device for putting a six-month time-release capsule of medicine behind the eye to deliver drugs to the retina. In response to questions: 1) He said the company hoped to do one or more deals imminently (yawn..), and couldn't do anything on its own for lack of resources, emphasizing the need for a deal with a clinical lab to do its test. 2) the company has enough funds to keep going until a deal is done (but timeline unspecified). 3) Hopes (I should think so!) getting a genetic test on the market will make the company profitable. 4) Won't say anything about HOW profitable, just that the test should retail for $100, cost $5 to do and involve a collaborative arrangment that involves getting a user fee from the lab for each test given.
