Reports of deaths among Viagra users as listed Tuesday on the Food and Drug Administration's Internet site: www.fda.gov.
63-year-old man with history of diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and atrial fibrillation had a stroke about one hour after taking Viagra and having sex. Died later while hospitalized.
62-year-old man with history of diabetes, congestive heart failure, heart rhythm problems and pulmonary fibrosis stopped breathing less than an hour after taking Viagra, without engaging in sexual activity. Resuscitation unsuccessful; cause of death listed as heart attack, congestive heart failure and hypertension.
64-year-old man with history of cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, diabetes and possible history of angina took one dose of Viagra, engaged in sex and passed out. Resuscitation unsuccessful; cause of death listed as ventricular arrhythmia.
60-year-old man with unknown medical history died after being prescribed Viagra. It is unknown whether he took the medicine.
