i think we rally hard because all if any pre announcements are in lot of these stocks.ihere is my picks-klac-under 30-trading 2xbook its has a more dominating position or monopoy in their yield management than any other semi in their field-has 700million in cash-will have some pressure this quarter but any upcycle or possible takeover make it attractive. lscc-around here to low thirties-book around 19. will have problem as announced but again dominating position and valuation very attractive. TSEMF- THIS is my number one pick at 8.375 up to 9.5 because its small and under followed but people will regret not owning it. book at 13-6 dollers per share in cash-largest semi in israel , was a fab which means they build low margin products other people use-now developing own higher margin products. will build a billion doller plant this summer with a partner-major blue chip company. this company will be the next blue chip tech company in 1999. i see it going to 50-75 next year. here is some other sybols you should look at . QUAL-AT 3 under book value trades.5x sales good specualtive buy . peakf -great consistant eps.. ltxx, at 3.75- lrcx, even dawk around 2.5 is strong. regarding amat, the problem is the company is strong but could get pounded because management not really realistic about whats going on. one key with amat is according to them they are increasing dominant marketshare in lot area---here is the breakdown-CVD-5%,,PVD 8%, RTP-25%, CMO-14% thats pretty impressive marketshare gains.
