...Please excuse the extreme delay, but a lot has happened since my original inquiry. I received two PC's, via UPS. After several attempts, trying to make them work I finally returned them both. The same day that I deposited the refunds Gateway announced "your ware." I'm still checking that one out.
...A "Quad," as we often refer to ourselves, are people who are paralyzed from the neck down. I happen to be able to motivate myself, with the aid of a few toys and I'm no longer tethered by tubes, only paralysis. It all started with the blink of an eye; a snowmobile and a stretched steel cable at 9 pm.
...That was then now, 6 years later I'm looking for a means of communicating, besides using tongue and nose tips. A spell checker would be nice also, but first things first. To find a place to get recouperative therapy, which doesn't exist yet, would be a miracle. I'd just settle for a list of names, of people, in similar distress, who are tired of the long term care setting and would be interested in forming one place to get everything done at once.
...First thing I know I'm stuck on my WEBTV BOX, looking up one symbol after the other, trying to make more than my broker. Go ahead have a good laugh, I deserve it. Just couldn't wait to get a good computer, do my own research and buy online. Sure enough I stumbled on SI and you know the rest of the story. The problem is the time that slips by between looking down, at the keyboard, to type and finally looking up for spell checking.
...Then you notice the count jumped from 500 to 1200 and the DOW all the way up to 9000. If you've got a few minuites I'd certainly appreciate any feedback. I've got to cut a path through the forest, so I can see the trees??? Anybody know anything about domain names, if this isn't stepping to far out of context, that is.
...My idea of a perrfecta pc is one that initiates its own circuitry, 3-D. This way the speed is truly variable and pilferage impossible. Once you open the unit the "image" is washed, yet, when it's closed again, properly, it boots right back up again. It works, it's kinda like putting a wire into a beam of light, sorta.
...Look at CD'S. Remember when they said that you could get more "blue dots into the same space as that of the red ones?" That was when I realized how simple it all really was. The hardest part was developing enough hardware. How many colours can you cram into one fiber, anyway? It's elementary, when you think about it. The same number that you can take from the other end, see isn't that spacial?
