Paul, In case you hadn't noticed, ALL CPU manufacturers are faced with this difficult dilemma. Did I say otherwise. I don't think I did. I was just saying that I hope someone does it. It don't see anything in AMD's roadmap right now that looks like it will do the job, with the exception of the mostly unknown K7. Intel is the same with the exception of the unknown Wilammet and the interesting and radically different and still unproven Merced. The Cyrix roadmap doesn't even go in that direction. And IDTI is a friggin' joke of a x86 competitor. Steve
