James,
The sooner Intel gets rid of the Celery, the better. 300 MHz can't repair the damage this laughing stock chip has done to Intel.
Just a little story from last night at Best Buy. Went down to check out the K6-2-3D CTX machine. There it was on the end cap. Seemed snappy enough and preloaded with a very nice presentation program about "3D". Also came loaded with a few games. Played a little "Monster Truck Madness". Seemed to do just fine but mind you I'm no gaming expert. A couple of Salemen came by and I asked how it was selling and the said "extremely well"..."it runs games as fast as a Pentium II-400". Oh I said, nice to hear that. Proceeded to tell them that in 1024 X 768 res it was 39% faster than a Pentium II-350. They went "wow"...
Then I said...hey, you guys want to see a real piece of garbage?
We started walking down the aisle. About one step and one guy says...
"Oh, you mean the CELERON!".
I said how'd you know? He said "we call that the "Pentium with no balls". Humm I said, they call it the Celery on the net. <G>

Jim
