Could be a rough tomorrow for techs with the WDC preannouncement . Not only is WDC experiencing an operating loss this quarter, but the near term future is also weak. Hope it's more a hard disk drive problem. I don't think anybody really knows how the 2nd half will be. Typically it's pretty strong with the Fall school and holidays.

As a side note, it almost seems we need to have the software catch up to the hardware. PC Magazine had a center piece on Windows 98 - and I think it should be a major product for the consumer this year. As for the commercial side (where the bread and butter is) - when does the next upgrade to Windows NT expected to come? Any answer appreciated.
