Hi Gary,
This is my first post on the thread but I have been lurking for weeks!! I have been holding MIDL for weeks and plan to hold for ever!! LOL I became a member of SI for one reason and one reason only... to have access to your thread. Thank you for all your patience, hard work and research. I know I am not alone when I say we all appreciate the time and effort you give to this thread. Honestly... week before last I was wishing you would hang up and go to bed. I was up all night every night watching your posts!! LOL!! I admire your energy! When doing my DD I found a couple of interesting things I haven't seen posted here. I have been trying to focus on how how widely used ethanol-based gasoline is.. I figured if nothing else that was a good start at determining who would be in the market for our DF-144 with it's high antiknock Indices and cheaper production cost. The company already stated Canada was a good market due to their current ethanol usage but while researching I stumbled upon another good candidate.
Gasoline in Brazil is either straight ethanol (alcohol made from sugarcane) or gasohol (typically a mix of conventional gasoline and 22 percent ethanol).
Here is data on one of Exxon's Affiliates in Brazil. The numbers make you stop and think... especially considering the market share.

Annual primary product sales: Gasoline, 17.7 million barrels Diesel, 16.8 million barrels Alcohol, 8.8 million barrels Lubes, 325,000 barrels

All I can add is I'm very happy the company is getting patents in other countries!!! Actually.. I was also thrilled that Headquarters is moving to the town I live!! Houston!! |
