Hi Another city other than Bangalore which is coming up fast for software development is Hyderabad. Microsoft has announced the plans its software development center at Hyderabad. Baan, Citicorp has their centers there in Hyderabad. You can see all kinds of software development activities there in India. Can you please clarify as what exactly you are looking for.? As Mohan pointed, the software development is both for exports and domestic use with focus being more on exports as it fetches the companies more money . The other cities which are growing in software development is Pune Madras and New Delhi. Bombay was the established software development headquarters for many computer companies till Bangalore grew up as the Indian Silicon Valley in the past five years.
