When's the last time you saw a WOW! commercial? I wouldn't doubt that more know of its demise than knew of its existence.

Disney owns a real television network, 4 cable channels, numerous magazines and several newspapers. Disney is the #1 movie studio and McDonald's has just signed an exclusive 10 yr deal to promote Disney products on Disney's terms because Disney/BK promotions were taking share. WDW is the #1 tourist destination in the U.S. - 40+ million will spend $200+/day to visit Disney parks. Disney is the #1 video seller in the world - 21,000,000 copies of Toy Story are flying off retailers shelves now, often at no profit to the retailer, just to drum up store traffic.

There is more obviously but it is clear that if Disney wants to push a family-oriented internet service it has the means and can cross promote with little incremental cost. And you want to talk brand, you're talking Disney. AOL in comparison is a mere pimple.

Regards
