Have you looked any more into the one liter less transfused blood issue that came up in the phase III's? I remember you mentioned that you thought it odd that Biotime would not issue a release on this but in fact they did. The day or day after the trials were unblinded they released a short piece that stated that they were very happy with the results and that the data showed that Hextend patients suffered significantly less bleeding and required significantly less blood.

It was also about this time that Asensio began his tirade and frankly, I think he maligned the company and effectively negated this great news single-handedly. The company then issued a statement that they were very surprised at the stock's highly negative reaction to the data release. Of course, short sellers love to line up at the bell (or just before it) to drive the bid way down in hopes of suckering the longs into thinking that there is hidden bad news in what is totally positive.
