AJ, Yes Stockedge / Signal Online does pull all the quotes for the current prices as it connects to the server initially. If you later add another symbol it will insert it into your interest list on the server and pull the most recent quote on that. Then any time there is a trade or quote on any symbols in your interest list it will push the new data to you as long as you are connected. This is the DBC technology we refer to as "Active Push".

The same technology works on time and sales, intraday or interday charts. As you request them it pulls the data from the servers and then continues to dynamically update them from the pushed data. This thin client - fat server technology means you have the whole market available as you need it and don't have to worry about collecting or managing all the millions of ticks and gigibytes of historical data that is all available to you upon demand. This is great stuff!!
