Perhaps you and Mark Twain are on the same literary level, and it's true that Mark couldn't have possibly outdone your choice of words. If so, then great! :->

I don't think I said I disagreed with your definition of a "classic", only that your definition seemed too restrictive. In fact, I liked it. There are many literary works that people "want to have read", and that "nobody wants to read".

On the other hand, there are classic cars, airplanes and motorcycles that don't seem to quite fit your definition either. What would Mark Twain have to say about those? ;-)
