From what I have researched thus far, no effective oral med better than Viagra will be available for at least for a couple of years.

So the next 2 years the choices are:
1)Viagra
2)MUSE
3)Needle

Now I am not including apomorphine or the ZONA drug because Viagra is more effective.

In two years Vivus may have a third generation product.

Your conception of "obsolete" is not valid when comparing electronics to drugs.

Penicillin has been around for 50 years and although many other new antibiotics are constantly being developed it is not considered to be "obsolete". The most common protocol for ED will be 1)Viagra (asuming no cardiovascular disease) 2)MUSE 3)needle. Granted some uros such as Dale will skip the MUSE but enough doctors will go from least invasive to most invasive to keep MUSE scripts going.
