Vlad,

Just brief update on my attempt to find UK script data. Information here is collected by an organisation called the Prescription Pricing Authority. I phoned them and they want my request in writing, subsequently I was told by local health authority manager that I am unlikely to get info from them and that he himself could not get it. PCPs can be given feedback but only for their own surgery.

I found out also that an organisation called IMS ! collects information for the UK and that their info is available for large fee. I guess this is same IMS or offshoot of USA organisation. This suggests that the source of the info on USA script data that appears on the thread might be useful as source of UK data.

I did phone two more dispensing chemists, one medium sized (2-3 muse average per week) and a smaller one (1 every two weeks). I think this backs up my estimate of 7500 per week made in previous post. However I forgot to mention that this estimate, as in USA, will not include muse issued through clinics - this could be substantial.

Well, so far, my estimate, which I thought conservative, is higher than one I saw of 5000 per week for UK posted a few days ago by someone else, but sort of in line given uncertainties.

I think the best way forward might be through IMS contact in USA.

Doing my best.
