Ausie dollar at .58, down from .82 in 18 months. That is why stock has been caving. Last time currency at this level, a politician
in Australia called Australia a banana republic. Until currency
stabilizes, things look bleak. Central bank has tried to intervene
but to no avail since Americans hyping up the dollar so Greenspan
won't raise interest rates.

Wish I could afford to buy some real estate in Perth. Must be pretty cheap in US dollars.
