A relayed message from Telephonics...reply to post 7639

Each news release issued by SEXI attracted my attention. In every instance involving "video", I followed up by personally talking with the other campany or person involved. For example, the claim about receiving orders from the State Department. I've had a lifetime of contracting experience with State and most other Federal agencies in the DC area, including DOD and the services-so I know how to ascertain award of government contracts. THERE WAS NO SUCH CONTRACT ISSUED TO SEXI. What I did find is a government contract issued to SAIC under which SAIC could be tasked by the Department of State to provide video systems. I do not know if they did so, and if such were the case, that they used the SEXI system. I have strong reason to believe that SAIC had a demonstration system set up in their faciliy which they got from SEXI. WHAT SYSTEM WAS THIS?-Lightwave or other????

In the case of Johns Hopkins, here is what my probing has turned up. The Dr. Kavoussi whose name and endorsement of the product appeared in the news release identified his "intended contractor" as ICE and Freddy Molthin, the president thereof. Freddy's approach was to install a small system at his own expense, as step one to convincing the customer to buy and expand it later. ICE has successfully used this approach in its integration efforts. The good Doctor went on to tell me he was promised the system would be installed within 90 days. On day 91, I got an incoherent but obviously angry reply. By the way, Molthin is a SEXI stockholder and I believe his son still works at SEXI as a SEXI employee. Enough said on this point, but one can't help but wonder why Freddy was willing to jeopardize his company when he must have known SEXI could not deliver the product.???
