Angel: Okay here is some info I got indirectly from a specialist.
He is on the Amex, so he had to find out about BB's.
On the BB's MM's can short indefinitely.

They only have to cover if you call for your certs.

Now, they can declare Bankruptcy, if they are crooked, or they can disappear.
The SIPC then steps in, and handles things.
The SEC would also go after the MM's, I guess for criminal proceedings.
The SIPC would give the value of the stock, but at what price?
The last trade? (interesting concept).
Okay, don't yell at me, or my friend, but this is what he came up with.
I would research this on your own, he is not a MM for BB's so he may not be entirely correct in his understanding of the situation.
He also said that they can delay delivery for 2 months, by thier 'tricks"
