Truman: The key word to all the Brinker commentary on the internet is "bandwidth." He has mentioned this several times and is his focus. Right now as between the telcos. and the cable providers my impression is that the cable companies are spending more to update their infrastructure. TCI, for example, is out in the market buying cable modem equipment big time. As a starter, here is one of the better pages with background information on all the competing bandwidth technologies:
