Still thinking about that 3COM/LU ADSL spec. Telechoice posted this last week...

... Westell looks to be caught betwixed and between. They are partnered with DSC to provide an integrated, CAP-based ADSL solution for Bell Atlantic's deployment yet have an agreement with Lucent to integrate certain intellectual properties into their C.O.-based switching platforms. Bell Atlantic has indicated privately that it is strongly considering moving to DMT later in 1998. Westell is going to provide a solution on the 5ESS, but they don't get their names on the ADSL spec. I've seen Westell's name on the CISCO, Nortel, Alcatel spec, and we know they aren't working with those companies. Why leave Westell's name off??..... until later.

PS. I can't believe they left Westell's name off that ADSL spec!!!
