This is true when the stock market lost 70% from the
peak...The average bear market lasts 1.5 years? I guess, we might
look for a bottom in Asia pretty soon - which should help Russia.
Russia did not rally much after Jan. carnage because of Yeltsin's
dismissals...

I believe Russia's GDP and other economic data could be severely
understated since a lot of businesses, especially small,
avoid taxes; if they can improve this sphere (taxes), official
figures could suddenly show large growth.
