The government has been screwing with the inflation numbers for a long time...Name me one Item that you buy other than Computers/Electronics and of course Gold...that is less expensive now than it was in 1980 when inflation was at record levels.

I bought my first car in 1979 and paid $4600 for it new, Last year bought one and paid $17,500. Bought 4 wheel drive truck in 1985 for $10,500 Last year same truck $28,000..... Clothes costs more...food costs more.... Heck My water bill last month was $46.00....looking thru some old bills of my parents cleaning out junk the other day and saw a $4.50 water bill from 1982!!!

How about medical costs???
