Don't know the volume of 3500 backlog. They need it going into historically slow summer quarter. I'm concerned about how they handle 3500 and 9000 launch. 3Com goes out saying that these switches give 10x performance for 1/10th of the cost of cisco routers. I think Peter Drucker gave those numbers as a rule of thumb in order to replace a legacy technology. How 3Com's going to convince cisco shop to switch is another story. The management is good at talking out their technology, but they need business execution. Plus cisco is not sitting idle.
