Of course they would. The economies of scale on the discs will make up for any drive losses-- The same idea that Iomega is trying to use. But Sony can deal with the penetration losses far better than Iomega can.

Iomega is already borrowing money against their credit line just to stay afloat. Their negative cash flow puts them in a very precarious and vulnerable position.
