OK, Now I get it!
The total assets are the real value of this company. Why wasn't this the focus of the news release?
"At March 31, 1998, the Company had current assets of $50,473, compared to $195,938 at December 31, 1997; total assets of $2,482,973 as compared to $195,938 at December 31, 1997;"
Ok here it is...
"TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 26, 1998--Seahawk Deep Ocean Technology Inc. (OTC BB:SDOT), the Tampa-based oceanographic company that specializes in the search and recovery of deep water shipwrecks, announced Thursday the sale of more than 20,000 artifacts to Treasure and Exhibits International Inc. (TEI) (formerly known as Vanderbilt Square Corp.) (OTC BB:VNSR) for a total consideration valued at $2,432,500. TEI is paying $817,500 in cash and issuing 9.5 million shares of its restricted common stock valued at $1,615,000."
So you put the $2,432,500 of Treasure together with the $50,473 and you get $2,482,973 in total assets. This was arranged largely through a trade of stock that is restricted from sale for two years. Which means basically free for now.
I now know the reason for the decrease in stock value. It has nothing to do with the value of the company, because look, they increased their value from only $195,938 to $2,482,973 in only 3 months. This increase wasn't caused by financing or loans, not credit; mainly just a savvy CEO who knows how to make a good deal for his company. So what's the reason for the depressed stock value... Poor Investor Relations is my guess. The reason this stock value went down is there are more people willing to sell with no confidence than there are people who want to buy believing the stock should have a greater value than they are paying.
Ya that's us, selling and whining that no one wants to pay us more money for our stock. You want your securities to reflect their true value..hold onto them. Get the word out, so others will notice what we are setting on. Its that simple, you're in the bargain basement everything is available here dirt cheap and we've got dirt cheap shares. At least if you bought in the last couple of days. Me I've got an order out for more. I'll take all I can get at this price.
Of course everyone has to decide on their own, AFTER they do some DD. |
