Your an interesting guy Ernie.
Where do we begin. You make it sound like I am trying to trash your good name. Farthest from the truth. What I said in my post was we all can understand your frustrations, but move ahead. If I were as concerned as you are with the company's PR, (and I have been on another stock), I would sell my shares and move on (as I did with another company). PR is an integral part of business. Have you heard me say otherwise? PRing the product to future or existing customers is a huge part of staying profitable. PRing the company is also important if the company wishes to be a household name or to be recognized by others in the field. They are two seperate forms of PR but both strangely related. One problem comes into this scenario. MRVC is not nor will they be a household name for quite sometime. How many times has any of us looked at the MegaSwitch 2 and we are investors? MRVC will not ever appear on my computer screen as Microsoft does nor would anyone expect them to. However, I do expect MRVC/NBase to be more recognized in the industry as they continue their growth. This is happening now. I wonder how Intel or Fujitsu heard about MRVC? You asked the question "How is good old Noam handling PR like never before?" Thats what good old Edmunds job is partner. And good old Edmund has been taking care of business. Whether or not we see results by next quarter I have no idea. I suspect not til after earnings though. And good old Noam has given two conference calls since quarterlies. Does that count? I have no idea what more Noam has been doing regarding PRing the company, but I am satisfied with the effort made to date by everyone mentioned. That brings us to PRing the product. Do you think the Fibronics acquisition is of help in this area? This will expand their sales and marketing force by leaps and bounds. And again the same question, How did Intel or Fujitsu ever hear about MRVC? Do we give the credit to their sales department or do we give the credit to good company PR? One of them deserves it dont they? Ernie you know as we all do that MRVC has a secrecy clause in the contract with Intel. Wouldn't it be great to see in the Wall Street Journal.... headlines.....INTEL REPORTS INCREASED EARNINGS DUE TO FAST ETHERNET MARKET. Next to the headlines we would read....CEO NOAM LOTAN SAYS THE REASON WHY INTEL IS SHOWING GREAT IMPROVEMENTS IS MRVC MAKES THE SWITCH FOR THEM. Then of course a few days later you would read .. MRVC LOSES CONTRACT WITH INTEL. And after the last major press release was sent out the market resonded favorably for one day then immediately dropped back down the next. Whats the reason? IMHO its earnings. The earnings from last quarter met expectations but that wasnt good enough. They needed to beat estimates. Thats the reason why you see MRVC at these levels. They are now vulnerable for some time. Do you believe that if MRVC had shown a 25% gain sequentially 2Q to 3Q that the price would be here? Do you believe that the short interest would be so high (I appologize but I dont know what the short interest has jumped to, only that it has jumped). Would there be the questioning of MRVC on all different fronts as all of us have done, myself included? Ernie I dont disagree with your point about PR. Again, it is essential. I hope I have expressed my point of view well enough for you. I am not looking for a fight unless of course you are smaller than I am, and I really dont care if you view any of my posts as informative. If my posts are in any way a detriment to this board I will gladly leave. I think that would show up by the response of the board members to the posts. I dont agree with every point that anyone makes in here yet I do respect their points of view. I hope that I have at least shown that much. And one last thing, there was a post earlier calling you a short. That is also the farthest thing from the truth. Its evident that you are not happy, hell your pissed with management (PR). There is a huge difference in the two.
Best of regards, Sam |
