This can happen Keith. I assume that you are trading over a
web site. Call the customer service and have them pull the
logs on your account. I dont mean the trading logs cause they
will say that you own the stock, Back office staff that manages
the web site. They can trace every button that you keyed in, it
is coded, have them print it out, it wont lie, I once thought I entered a sell once on a stock and it was a buy. Some times when
you refresh your screen you have to reset the your parameters,
that is what happened to me. Thank god she wasn't on a steep
decline. Give them as precise info. as you can. If it is their
mistake and you don't want it, they are stuck with the stock.
My suggestion in future is to always print out your orders until
they are confirmed in your account. Standard practice for me now.
The screen doesn't lie

Best of luck to you.

Regards
