timing is everything....

>>the Rabinses/Investment Banker(s) simply need to
>>aggressively create a bidding war...

Inso and Corel would also represent two more obvious SoftQuad, Inc. [HMAPPS, XMetaL, HoTMetaL, Panorama, etc...] 'acquiror' candidates...an exciting and very real competitive threat to Microsoft would be a triumvirate/consortium strategic alliance 'acquisition' of SoftQuad, Inc. between Netscape, Oracle and Sun Microsystems and perhaps a Baby Bell...other candidates/strategic alliance 'acquiror' candidates: UUnet, QWEST, Worldcom/MCI, Verio et al...timing is everything and now is an absolutely superior time to sell to simply derive maximum PV given the installed base of HoTMetaL, the unparalleled street acceptance of esp. substantive Internet plays, Win100 Winner June 15th announcement, HMAPPS/ISP Power Partner successfully launched, etc. timing is everything [and equally critical]...Alexander GrahamBell filed the telephone patent only hours before Elisha Gray filed his patent for the telephone...AT&T emerged as the key, dominant, monopolistic player throughout the entire twentieth century rather than [Gray's] Western Union....so...do Netscape/Sun/Oracle change [Microsoft] history competitively or litigiously?...
