I'm not aware of semi co. consolidations. As a matter of fact their are no significant semi co. m&a's. When cos feel that industry growth is going to be strong and that they are a strong competitor, they don't look to be purchased. All semi industry projections say there will be strong long-term growth. M&A's are usually a way to increase market share when industry growth can't support the inventory of cos and competition is able to offer products in higher quantities (market share) at lower prices(supply and demand).
