You should also consider this information on recent insider sales:

biz.yahoo.com

Someone has an application in to sell 26,000 shares at current prices. Since 4/23/98, officers have sold (or will soon sell) about 60,200 shares. Why are officers unloading so much down here at depressed prices? If I were an officer at Seagate and had stock (or acquired it by the exercise of options), the last thing I'd do would be to sell it near long-term lows unless I had a good reason!
