so you've got a couple million bucks to kick around PLAYING (as opposed to investing) stocks.
you find a company with fantastic growth and you call them and let them know who you are etc, and you test the waters. you can easily drive the stock price from 20 to 30 - "this one's gold", you say.
the company announces a secondary offering AND a stock split, trying to ward you off from whipsawing their committed long-term investors. but you smell blood.
you wait until the stock splits and then start selling, scaring off the small investors so they don't fuck-up your game-plan. you see all their stop-loss orders and you sell until they start auto-executing, driving the price even further down...
but you're buying the whole time they're selling! holding the price in a tight range while you accumulate, and at the same time get the stock out of weak hands...
if your plan works, you control the stock. you determine the peaks and valleys, and you profit the whole ride, for as long as you still control it and not yet bored by it.
just a thought. by the way, any ideas how many funds are in this stock? 1. |
