Syncronys obviously paid some compression expert to run a test which they knew would provide favorable results. Loading a bunch of applications with SoftRAM, and then without, does not a test make. There are hundreds of thousands of Windows developers with a tool for stressing system resources which they get from Microsoft. In addition, a simple program can be written to verify resource usage. Instead you have Syncronys paying this guy to play Simon Says and then use his good name and credentials to ripoff the public.

Warning: according to Bob Sturgeon all of these entities are stock holders in competing companies or simply not following directions:

pcmag.com
dcl.co.nz
pcweek.com
sjmercury.com
cnet.com
ftp.uni-mannheim.de
ftp.uni-mannheim.de
ora.de
ora.de
indy.net
pcweek.com

Who are we to believe, these impeccable sources or Bob Sturgeon who has to ask what "operating system" means. Whether SYMC makes a foray into RAM compression they will have to content with intense scrutiny brought on by the snake-oil salesman that preceeded them.
