Easy? save money? OK...
Yes saves money...
1. You down load data from internet. easy fast
2. You update files using qp update module.
3. You select files you want for WOW- No I do not have MS. It would be perfect for MS. But I do not use MS. How do you select files for wow? You create a scan that you love using the scan dbase module of qp. For example I use:

// high riser scan

AllGroup
close(0) > 4.75
avgvol(0,-143) >610
max(0,-143,hi) > 1.55 * min(0,-143,lo)

Actually I create 2 different versions of above- one with qrs > 75 and one with qrs < 75.
qrs- is qp's version of Relative Strength. It is not the same as IBD rankings but it is better than nothing.

I then go to qp metastock output file. - and output list to a location at wow.

Then everynight when I update the files - it automatically updates these files.

WOW can read metastock format so you can be done at this point- but I like all my data together so I go into WOW and use the merge data function>
Securities- setup - merge data- subdirectory by subdirectory. A pain. When QP gets 2000 directory limit- I will be ok as I use about 1500 files.

Not easy- but cheaper than tc2000pro which is 1.95 a day or over $40 a month.

Basically, it's derek's fault- he's the one who bought it first. - ggg.
